Nursing Week Staff Profile: Belinda Henry CNA

Tell us a little about yourself: I was born in Johnstown, and currently reside in Wilmore.

When did you join the team here at Arbutus? I started at Arbutus about 2 years ago.

What is your favorite thing about being at Arbutus? The thing I enjoy most is getting to know all the wonderful residents here. Arbutus is different because of the teamwork, the atmosphere, and people’s willingness to work with you.

How did you get into nursing? It has always been a passion of mine. I enjoy taking care of people and helping others. It is something I’ve always wanted to do.

When you aren’t at Arbutus, what do you like to do? I enjoy being home and spending time with my 4 children who are 7, 5, 4, and 2.

If you could meet anyone, living or deceased, who would it be? I would want to meet the singer songwriter Belinda Carlisle from The Go-Go’s- I was named after her.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Georgia- I have never been but the weather has to be better than our winters.

Finish this sentence: The Best Thing in Life is: Being there for my kids and residents.

Favorite Film? Grease!

Favorite Style of Music? A little bit of everything, you never know what you like until you listen.
