Dementia & Memory Care
Crossroads is a 24-hour memory care nursing unit at Arbutus Park Retirement Community. Memory and nursing care is provided in a secure setting with door alarms and a locked entrance. Crossroads has a beautiful outside fenced-in area with a patio where residents can sit or walk safely as weather permits
Arbutus Dementia & Memory Care staff consists of Registered Nurses (RNs) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) Certified Nurse’s Aides (CNAs) as well as Licensed Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists who are available if needed. Arbutus has a wonderful housekeeping and activities staff that quickly becomes like family to the residents they interact with every day.
Arbutus staff is accessible to our residents’ families to answer questions, talk about concerns and to just lend an ear. We believe in keeping the line of communication open with our families.

Arbutus offers dementia and memory care residents either private rooms with private bath or semi-private rooms with an interconnecting bath. Rooms are equipped with call bells and are accessible based on the needs of the individual resident. Arbutus residents are encouraged to bring items from home to personalize their room and make it comfortable. Residents have access to outdoor dining and activities. Cable TV hookups and phone jacks are available.
At Arbutus we believe in caring for the mind, body and spirit of each of our residents. Daily therapeutic activities geared to various levels of dementia are provided throughout each day and all staff are trained to care for the special needs of these residents.
