Skilled Nursing Care
“Compassionate…Thoughtful…Respectful…” These are some of the words our families and residents use to describe their experience with our skilled nursing staff. Arbutus Park Retirement Community offers a 24-hour Skilled and Intermediate Nursing Care unit licensed by Medicare and Medicaid. Medicaid history review and Physician’s orders are required for admission.
At Arbutus, our skilled nursing care is also available on a short term basis for anyone who may be recovering from a hospitalization due to an accident, illness, or surgical procedure.
Arbutus Skilled Nursing staff consists of Registered Nurses (RNs) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) Certified Nurse’s Aides (CNAs) as well as Licensed Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists who are available, if needed. Arbutus has a wonderful housekeeping and activities staff that quickly becomes like family to the residents they interact with every day.
Sufficient staffing is important when considering care for a family member. With 141 beds, Arbutus is one of the largest skilled nursing providers in Johnstown and staffing levels are consistently above both State and Federal requirements.
Arbutus staff is accessible to our residents’ families to answer questions, talk about concerns and to just lend an ear. We believe in keeping the line of communication open with our families.
