Families and Friends of Arbutus Park,
On September 21st and 22nd, every employee of Arbutus Park Retirement Community was tested for exposure to COVID-19. This testing was performed by our licensed nursing staff.
Approximately 280 employees were tested over this two-day period. We are happy to report that all employees tested negative for the virus. As of today’s date, September 28, APRC has not had a positive case, in either residents or employees. Per the state governments’ directive, APRC will continue to test all employees, once a month, as long as there is not a confirmed case at the facility. If we have a confirmed COVID-19 episode, testing of all employees and all residents will begin at a more frequent level. The frequency of testing is based on the prevalence of cases within Cambria County. At this time we are only required to test employees on a monthly basis.
