As you must have heard by now, Cambria County is going “Green” this Friday, June 5, 2020. Unfortunately, in his recent update on state restriction guidelines, Governor Wolf declared that nursing homes will remain in the “Red” phase.  This means we must continue to adhere to the strict rule of no in-person visitations by family members at Arbutus Park Manor.  Our hearts go out to the residents and families who have been so supportive of our efforts during the last three months or so.

It is our intention to relax visitation restrictions when the state and federal governing bodies give us the guidance to do so.  Until then, we thank you for your patience and support.

The “Chatterbox” at the Manor has been very well received by families, and we encourage you to utilize this way of corresponding with your loved ones. Because of not knowing what the future will hold for nursing facilities, we are starting to make arrangements for a “Winter Chatterbox” that will keep families and residents out of the weather. Also, Facetime is available and can be arranged by scheduling with our Activities Department.

Because of the many precautions our staff has undertaken, we have been able to avoid any positive cases of COVID-19 in Arbutus Park Manor. The sacrifices they have made to keep your family members healthy and smiling has been beyond words. We will continue to provide the best care for which Arbutus is known until these troubled times are over.
