June 29, 2020

Pursuant to orders from the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office, Arbutus Park Manor has begun COVID-19 testing of all residents and staff of the facility. As of this date, testing has been completed on half of the residents and half of the staff. We are happy to report that all completed tests have tested negative. We will continue to complete all testing by July 24, 2020. Families will be notified when test results come back on their family member.

We have had a lot of questions about when visitations will resume for families. At this time we are waiting for specific directions from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control on when to open back up. Personal protective equipment is being stockpiled and hallways are sectioned off in different “zones” in anticipation of a possible positive case. However, we will continue to take every precaution necessary to avoid a positive case Every week we are required to do more regulatory reporting, and institute new work rules, in accordance with this epidemic. Please bear with us, and the protocols we have put in place during this difficult time. We are all in this together, and our staff has been amazing keeping your loved ones safe and secure.

Please continue to use our Chatterbox and make arrangements for FaceTime or Skype with your family members.
