Dear family and friends of APRC,
Arbutus Park has continued to conduct COVID-19 testing on nursing/personal care residents and manor employees. As of Friday, March 26th, the test results for the period showed no new positive cases of COVID in the residents and no new positive cases for staff members.

Due to our negative testing results, and under current guidelines, all non-positive employees will now be tested monthly instead of weekly. All non-positive manor residents will be tested if symptomatic. Immediate rapid tests are run on anyone who is showing potential COVID-19 symptoms. This will continue until directed otherwise by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. All employees are wearing appropriate protective equipment when providing direct care to residents.

VISITATION
With the exception of the West Isolation Unit, the Manor is now open for visitation to family and friends. All visitors enter and exit at the main entrance and are screened at reception. Masks are required at all times. Hand hygiene at entry and exit. Visits encouraged 7:00am-7:00pm. Each resident can have 2 visitors at a time in their room. Group visits over 2 can be scheduled in advance through Melinda and Lois for designated locations in the Manor. If resident is not fully vaccinated, their visits will be social distanced. Children welcomed. Pets welcomed with vaccination record. The Indoor Chatterbox, Skype, and Facetime are still options for visitation. Visitation availability is subject to change based on regular COVID testing results. Refusal to follow these guidelines will result in modified visitation.

As our testing is no longer weekly, future updates will be published as needed on our website and Facebook page. Thank you for your patience and support.
