·Dementia & Memory Care, Independent Living, Nursing, Personal Care, Residents, Short Term Therapy, Skilled Nursing, StaffDear family and friends of APRC,
Arbutus Park has continued to conduct COVID-19 testing on nursing/personal care residents and manor employees. As of Friday, March 12th, the test results for the period showed zero new positive cases of COVID in the residents and one new positive tests for staff members.
At present, all non-positive manor residents are being tested for the coronavirus weekly. All non-positive employees up to this point are also being tested weekly. Immediate rapid tests are also run on anyone who is showing potential COVID-19 symptoms. This will continue until directed otherwise by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. All employees are wearing full protective equipment when providing direct care to residents.
VISITATION
We are thrilled with the response to the opening of the indoor chatterbox and the feedback from the first several visits. We are glad you are now able to comfortably visit with your loved one. We are grateful to our revitalization campaign donors and PepsiCo of Johnstown for making this room possible. We have also started social distanced meals in our dining rooms, along with small group activities and visits to the beauty shop.
VACCINATION
We are glad to provide a final vaccination clinic to our newest residents and staff, along with our Independent Living Community. Many thanks to Giant Eagle for making this clinic happen.
