November 6, 2020

·Nursing, Residents, Skilled Nursing, Staff

Dear friends and family of APRC,

On Monday, November 2nd of this week, all residents were once again tested for COVID-19. The test results received Thursday, November 5th, revealed 13 additional positive resident outcomes for the virus. These thirteen residents were immediately strictly quarantined. Additional testing on employees revealed three additional staff members testing positive.

Arbutus is working in conjunction with the Centers of Disease Control and the Pennsylvania Department of Health to mitigate further potential positive cases. We are also working with other homes in our surrounding counties who have also been infected in their facilities. Families of the infected residents have been contacted and informed of the protocols and measures put in place. Although we can’t guarantee there will be no more positive cases at Arbutus Park Manor, as we anxiously wait for an approved vaccine, please know we are working around the clock to provide the safest and most caring home for residents. We will continue to test residents and employees on a weekly basis until given further direction from the state and federal agencies.

Further weekly updates will be posted on our Facebook page and our website. I thank you all for your prayers and support during this most difficult time.
