Dear friends and family of APRC,
On Monday, October 19, 2020, all residents of Arbutus Park Manor were tested for covid-19. All residents at that time tested negative for the virus. On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, we received an admission from the hospital, who was quarantined immediately upon admission, per proper protocol. This new resident had tested negative while in the hospital. On Wednesday, the 21st, the new resident exhibited symptoms of the virus and was subsequently tested again. That test has come back positive. The resident was immediately quarantined in a separate zone and has never had any contact with any other residents of the Manor.
We will continue to test residents and employees on a weekly basis until given further direction from the Pa. Department of Health. Every precaution is being made for the safety of our residents and employees.
