What word do you use to describe that outstanding volunteer in your life?
Arbutus Park Retirement Community invites you to celebrate extraordinary volunteer service on behalf of our community seniors by nominating outstanding individuals, groups, or organizations who improve the lives of seniors for our annual Senior Spirit Award Luncheon celebration.
Please consider nominating a volunteer, colleague, or group you know based on the categories below. Complete and submit the nomination form or download the form to submit. The Senior Spirit Nominating Committee will review all applicants and select recipients for the following awards:
- Spirit of Leadership
Award is given to an individual senior volunteer or leader (age 60 or older) who gives a large percentage of his or her time and talent to improve our community.
- Spirit of Community
Award is given to a group of seniors (age 60 or older) that support and improve the lives of people in our community. Consider senior clubs, organizations, businesses, corporations, and corporate foundation groups.
- Spirit of Appreciation
Award is given to a group or organization (of any age) for their unique support in improving the lives of seniors in our community.
- Lifetime Achievement Award
Award is given to an individual volunteer or leader who has dedicated their life to volunteer service by helping one or more organizations with their leadership, vision, time, and talent.
All nominees must demonstrate extraordinary leadership, influence the community in a positive way, and improve the lives of seniors in the Laurel Highlands region. Their service or contributions may be current or have occurred over a life time.
Nominees must be available to receive their recognition at the Senior Spirit Awards Luncheon in 2019. Nominees must also agree to be photographed for promotional purposes and filmed for a short video that will air at the awards ceremony.
