The pilot program of ‘Music & Memory’ is underway in our Crossroads wing, and we look forward to expanding the program to other parts of the manor! The approach is simple, elegant, and effective: Trained activities staff set up personalized music playlists, delivered on mp3 players, to our residents. These musical favorites tap deep memories not lost to dementia and can bring participants back to life, enabling them to feel like themselves again, to converse, socialize, and stay present.
