Dear APRC friends and family,
An employee of the Arbutus Park Manor business office was in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. We tested everyone in the business office with an in-house,rapid antigen test that showed that four employees of the office could be positive for COVID. The employees showed no symptoms of the virus. We subsequently retested these employees with a thorough PCR test and sent the specimens to an approved laboratory. As a precaution, all business office employees were sent home to quarantine for the necessary time, as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. On Friday afternoon, we received word from the lab that all four employees were indeed negative for the virus. No other employees or residents have shown any symptoms. We will continue to test all employees on a regular basis and keep strictly in place all the protocols we have established to keep our residents safe.
