Minimum requirements necessary to effectively perform the position responsibilities include BS Degree in Nursing, licensed RN in the state of PA, 5 years of responsible nursing experience, preferably in a long term care facility, basic computer skills, excellent communication and management skills, respect for principals of residents rights, confidentiality, EEO and ADA.
Experience

Essential Duties
The Assistant Director of Nursing is tasked with complimenting the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing and supervising the nursing staff, who provide health care and nursing services to residents on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis.
The Assistant Director of Nursing shares responsibility for backing up RN staff on a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week basis. The Assistant Director of Nursing may confer with with residents physicians on an occasional basis to clarify medical orders and direct care. In the absence of the Director of Nursing Services, the Assistant Director of Nursing Services performs the duties of the Director.
