Basic Qualifications

Education / Training
A high school diploma or equivalent; aptitude and training in arts, crafts, games, and sports activities.

Skill(s) 
Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal skills and communicative skills; proficient manual dexterity and motor coordination knowledge of the social, psychological, physical, and recreational needs of the aging; ability to stand, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, pull, and lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less; valid driver’s license; visual and auditory skills.

Experience
Employees selected for this position are not required to have experience but they do need to be dedicated to ensuring resident care, able to demonstrate strong skills as a team player.

Essential Duties

Responsible for assisting with the presentation of daily activities and special events to assist with restorative care; to maintain an optimal level of psycho social functioning; implementing specific procedures and programs; coordinating work within the unit or department, as well as with other departments and units; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor.

Selected candidates will also successfully complete several Criminal Record Checks, TB tests, a medical and physical exam as well as a drug screen prior to employment.
